BEN GROVES
Ben Groves has been working in the landscape industry for more than 15 years. After several years serving as a landscape design consultant to Rye Beach Landscaping, Ben decided to join our team full time in 2015.
Ben studied Natural Resources as an undergraduate at the University of Vermont. His exposure to landscape design came with an internship at an award-winning Landscape Architecture firm out of Middlebury, VT. With that robust background, he was ready to start his career with a move to California…to become a ski bum! After a few years of skiing the Sierras, Ben was ready to refocus and start his profession.
Relocating to Southern New Hampshire, Ben cut his teeth at a busy design build firm where he learned the day-to-day operations of landscape construction. He then returned to school and completed a Master’s Program in Landscape Design from the Conway School.
Ben’s design style is a perfect fit with Rye Beach Landscaping’s philosophy of preserving natural resources. Whether it’s a large master plan or small pocket garden, Ben’s designs encourage the use of native plants, low maintenance gardens, natural and recycled materials, water conservation, and a wide variety of sound ecological principles.
Here’s what customer Mark McDonnell had to say: “Ben Groves met with my wife and I for two hours last evening in Rollinsford, NH and helped us design our 640 sq. ft. backyard patio, and he did an awesome job!
Ben incorporated our ideas of a slider exit, stairs, cooking area, table and chairs area, sitting area with furniture and coffee table, and finally incorporate a fire pit. We are thrilled with Ben’s design and many of his ideas, along with bedding suggestions for greenery around part of the patio. Ben is VERY experienced at designing patios and outside areas. Thanks Ben!”
